Dress-up encourages creative thinking and communication skills. It also helps kids strengthen language and their social skills. This week we were a step closer to build the learners expressions as the Nursery graders decked up as their favourite shape to participate in SHAPE-A-THON. Children enjoyed exhibiting their shapely dresses, headgear, wrist band, medallion etc. They spoke about different shapes and connected the shapes with examples visible in the real environment. They identified the circular shape with a cookie, pizza, M&M, and car wheels. They recognized heart shape candies, pillow, wristwatches etc. Nursery graders displayed their critical thinking by supporting the choice of a favourite shape with reasons. Some of them showed real objects, cut-outs, manipulatives representing the shape.
